Поэтому экспорт необжаренных зерен в прошлом месяце снизился до минимума за все время сбора данных - с 2006 г.., отмечает Noticias Agricolas. Поставки кофейного сырья за границу сократились почти на 8%, составив 1,599 млн мешков. Предыдущий минимум зафиксировали в мае-2008.     <p>Министерство сельского хозяйства Бразилии отправило в национальную внешнеторговую палату запрос о разрешении на ввоз дешевой робусты. Если запрос одобрят, впервые за долгое время Бразилия станет импортером кофе. Министерство сельского хозяйства считает, что только так можно избежать кризиса в производстве растворимого кофе. Запрошенная на импорт квота составляет 1 миллион мешков по 60 кг.  Бразилия – крупнейший в мире производитель и экспортер зеленого зерна, а также растворимого кофе.     <p>Brazil has been suspended from voting in the ICO for one year for late and incomplete payment of membership dues of £382,000 (US$582,000), report Brazilian media. The deadline for payment was September 30th. Only a partial payment of R $1.7 million (US$441,000) was made. Brazil failed to pay the dues within the deadline because of budget cuts, according to sources. As a consequence of this decision, Brazil will be suspended from voting in the International coffee council and all the other ICO bodies in the 117th and 118th Session.
