Brazil’s coffee exports in all forms to all destinations rose 1.5 percent year-on-year in February to 2,502,169 60-kg bags, according to monthly statistics released yesterday by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council, or Cecafé. On the other hand, earnings fell sharply (-23.1 percent) to US$411.43 million. Green coffee shipments were up 0.9 percent versus February 2015 thanks to a considerable growth (+9.3 percent) in Arabica exports, while Robustas were sharply down (-73.3 percent) reflecting lower supply. Exports of processed coffee (R&G and instant coffee) were also on the rise (+7.5 percent) reaching 282,997 bags. Source: comunicaffe.com/brazilian-exports-still-near-record-highs/
